The festive spirit of Christmas lights up the halls of UST-FMS, as bright smiles and cheerful greetings from UST-FMS jubilarian classes that end in 1 and 6 from all over the world, are back home for the series of celebrations of their alumni homecoming and the closing of the sesquicentennial celebrations. Together with the rest of the Faculty, AFI welcomes them home at the doorway.
The celebrations kicked off with the first installment of the back-to-back Dr. Mariano M. Alimurung Memorial Post-Graduate Course last December 8 and 9, hosted by Class 1996.
While doctors attended the lecture series, AFI prepared a booth where they may get to know more about the Go Further: Beyond 150 Years Campaign, sign up for the AFI newsletter, and get a chance to win raffle items.
The merriment continued to the weekend in EDSA Shangri-la, where the doctors exchanged their academic hats for dancing shoes and glamorous dresses for the much-awaited alumni homecoming last December 11.
The AFI team was also present at their booth to greet the doctors. It was also a great opportunity for Class 1986 to publicly announce their donation of Php 5 Million towards the completion of the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall Simulation and Research Center. To honor their generosity, the lounge at the 2nd floor of the building will be named after them.
Their donation was officially turned over to AFI last December 8, 2022 at the Dean’s Conference Room of some members of their Class, led by Dr. Francis Roasa. Dean Ma. Lourdes Maglinao, as President of AFI, gladly and proudly received the check, as she is also of Class ‘86.
