As a non-profit organization of the UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, we proudly carry the legacy of Thomasian excellence—dedicated to lighting up the path to a brighter future of medical education.
With this mission, we put our hearts into creating initiatives to implement our visions. We strive to achieve milestones that will benefit and inspire the next generation of aspiring Thomasian doctors.
Recognizing that medical education is still inaccessible to many, AFI seeks to award scholarships annually to deserving young men and women from low-income families to gain access to quality medical education at the university.
This program covers every scholar’s tuition, miscellaneous fees, boarding, books, and meal allowance until the completion of their courses.
We strive to enhance the connection between classroom learning and real-life clinical experiences for our medical students through the construction of the Sts. Cosmas and Damian Center for Simulation and Research, alongside the essential renovation of the Basic Sciences Laboratories in the St. Martin de Porres Building.
Anargyroi: FMS Foundation, Inc. (AFI) is committed to supporting projects that ensure access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment essential for providing cutting-edge medical education.
Dedicated to the advancement and enrichment of faculty and administrative programs, we are steadfast in our commitment to cultivating human potential and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Our approach emphasizes empowering faculty through professional development, supporting impactful research initiatives that address both local and global challenges, and broadening access to scholarship opportunities that open doors to academic and personal growth. Through these efforts, we aim to build a dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking academic community that not only enriches our institution but also contributes meaningfully to society.
Anargyroi: FMS Foundation, Inc. (AFI) is reaching out to the poor and underserved through its Community Outreach program. Through strategic partnerships, AFI ensures sustainable healthcare delivery while contributing to medical education and research for a more inclusive community.
UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (UST-FMS) is a leader in Philippine medical education, distinguished by its commitment to innovation in its curriculum. Research plays a central role, enabling students to pursue projects in fields such as Anatomy, Pharmacology, Preventive Medicine, and Clinical Epidemiology. To boost research productivity, the Research Center for Health Science and the FMS Oversight Committee of Research have launched strategic initiatives. Fostering a supportive research environment is crucial to building a vibrant research culture within FMS. However, there remains significant potential for growth, as researchers are encouraged to move beyond the “publish or perish” mindset and focus on addressing the pressing health challenges facing Filipino society.
Anargyroi: FMS Foundation, Inc.(AFI) commits itself to advancing and maintaining academic excellence in medical education for the benefit of the UST-FMS community and future Thomasian doctors.
