The long wait is over. All systems go for the construction of the much-awaited Henry Sy, Sr. Hall. With all the necessary permits acquired and the lot now finally cleared, operations are now running on the site beside the Tan Yan Kee Student Center and in front of the Miguel de Benavides Library.
The University has contracted AIMM Builder and Construction Supply for the project during an onsite ceremony held in December 2022. Following a few weeks of preparation and some delays due to the holiday break, the 18-month countdown towards the building’s completion now resumes.

Angel Aparicio, and Fundraising Chairman Dr. Charles Cuaso. Supporting UST-FMS’s thrust in promoting collaborative research on the country’s health challenges and to provide a venue for medical students to obtain higher, research-based degrees, the Henry Sy Foundation donated P300 million to the University that would support the cost of constructing this seven-story structure that will house simulation and research facilities.
The construction period is expected to last 18 months with substantial completion by Q4 of 2024. Weekly meetings are being done among the contractor representatives, UST Facilities Management Office, and UST-FMS to make sure that the project is on-track with the proposed timeline.
In addition to the grant of Henry Sy Foundation, the other donations will come from UST-FMS alumni and supporters. Anargyroi Foundation, Inc., through the leadership of its President Dean Lourdes Maglinao and Fundraising Committee Chairman Dr. Charles Cuaso, has been raising funds for this project for the past years.
