The Generosity of Class 1982

It’s the season of love once again, and the best way to celebrate it is to generously share love with as many people as we can. This is why we are so inspired by USTFMS Class 1982’s act of generosity that is concretized in their commitment to share the gift of quality medical education to the future Thomasian physicians.

Last February 9, Anargyroi: FMS Foundation, Inc. (AFI) Trustee and Class 1982 alumnus Prof. Norberto Martinez, MD turned over a set of Balance Testing and Rehabilitation Equipment to FMS through AFI.

This set includes the following:

Pressure Plate

Balance software

Foam for Pressure Plate

Bag for Pressure Plate

Software Libra Vestibular Rehab Clinic

VR goggles

Gaming computer

Lumos projector

Since last year, their Class has been generously contributing to this goal either from personal donations or their fundraising initiatives with their friends and supporters. Apart from the abovementioned donations, Professor Emeritus Philip Newall of Macquarie University and Audiologist Dr. Cristy Newall of Concord Hospital, donated additional equipment for the current audiology laboratory, along with numerous hearing aids to be given to patients in need through Dr. Hubert Ramos, Course Director of the masters program in Clinical Audiology.

This donation is made to USTFMS also through AFI. Present to receive the donations were AFI President and USTFMS Dean Ma. Lourdes D. Maglinao, AFI Executive Director Ms. Anna Maria Gloria S. Ward, and AFI Trustee and Class 1982 alumnus Prof. Norberto V. Martinez, MD who brokered the connection between the donors and USTFMS.

The Faculty is honored to have such generous alumni and friends. Indeed, there is much love to be shared around when each member of the community contributes.
